We are making our way around the south Devon coastline with Cornwall in our sights. We have spent the last two nights at Slapton Sands south of Dartmouth. Then to Tavistock for 2 nights with Minehead for 2 nights after that. Then we head to Wales and parts north.
So much has happened, all good, but again the Vodaphone network is not so strong out in the bush here so am just sending this through quickly to tell you we are alive and well.
Van is going well and is very comfortable. The weather has been excellent for us so far.
We got to Stonehenge a few days ago which was a big moment and an impressive sight.
Nelson's ship Victory was a memorable tour. Thanks to Jamie and his dad Bob for the tip re. parking at Gosport and taking the ferry over, makes for a good introduction to the Portsmouth story and the parking is easier too.
The narrow roads are a challenge especially when the gps sends us down silly backroads rather than the perfectly good major road...not blindingly trusting it anymore!
Twins and Libby had a day out at Monkey World while I tackled the Bovington Tank museum...I got to meet the author David Fletcher whose work I have admired for some time.
Okay, as I don't trust the reception, although it has been kind tonight, I will send this now. Then will try a photo or two.
Regards,
Warwick
Happy birthday to Libby's sister Helen and to my brother Greg, both tomorrow. Greg is celebrating the big 50 so I hope it is a good one.
